For the third installment of our Decade on Damen raffle-y goodness, Anne Sportun has graciously donated this beautiful multi sapphire briolette bracelet to be raffled off in honor of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The bracelet is valued at $1450. and raffle tickets are just $10. a piece.
The JDRF is the worldwide leader in funding research to cure type 1 diabetes a chronic, debilitating disease affecting every organ system. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin, a hormone that enables people to get energy from food. While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers are involved.
My mother has struggled and survived this disease for close to 57 years. She celebrated her 70th birthday (sshhh!) on Friday May 20th. Will you please join me in working towards better treatments, a greater understanding, and possibly a cure within her lifetime?
Tickets for Anne Sportun’s bracelet will be available at my desk or online from Monday, May 2nd through Tuesday, May 31st . We will feature the entire body of Anne Sportun’s work during a very special weekend trunk show from Friday, May 20th through Sunday, May 22nd.
On Tuesday, May 31st, one of you will be selected as a very lucky winner by a four year old who can’t read the name written on your ticket stub. We are very scientific here at Virtu, and we believe deeply in the families in this community.
In celebration of our ten years together in business, I’ve asked our top ten vendors to donate something that we will offer as a raffle over the course of the next ten months. Raffle tickets are $10 for each of our years in business. At the end of each month, the raffle pool will be donated to one of ten local foundations and one of you will be the lucky recipient of something fabulous.
